    What are Softrocks made of?

Each piece is made of approximately 95% sponge and 5% polyurethane. Its interior is entirely composed of sponge, giving it a very light and soft structure — in contrast to what it might appear to be. This sponge base is then coated with a flexible, rubber-like skin that enhances durability and provides high water resistance.

The painting is done by hand in the final stage of the production process, using water-based paints.

    How to order?

Softrock offers a range of pieces which you can explore on our ROCKS page, showcasing a selection of our unique creations.

However, our creative possibilities are endless. You can order a custom piece — defining size, shape and model to suit your space and vision. This is a fully personal and collaborative process, designed to reflect your individual needs.

Please note: orders are not made by simply clicking a button. We value conscious consumption, far from the impulsiveness of fast online shopping. Orders must be placed intentionally via email at info@softrock.pt.

Payment is made by bank transfer, ensuring transparency and care at every step.

Where can I see your pieces?

We’ll soon be opening a new small warehouse in Ericeira, Portugal, where all Softrock pieces will be produced.

This space will also include a small showroom, designed to welcome visitors and offer a close, sensory experience of our work. Visits are by appointment only, via email: info@softrock.pt.

Additionally, you can find a selection of exclusive pieces available at the Out to Lunch store in Porto.

    Shipping & Delivery

Softrocks are exclusive, made-to-order pieces — which means shipping costs are not included in the base price.

When placing your order, please provide the following details: Full Name + Address + Postal Code + Country + Phone Number

With this information, we can request the most accurate shipping quote for your location, whether in Portugal or abroad.

This is part of our slow and intentional production process — where every step is considered, including how the piece is delivered. If you already work with a shipping provider you trust, feel free to share that with us via email — we're happy to collaborate.

This way, we ensure that each piece arrives with the same care it was created with.

    Care & Maintenance

Each Softrock is handcrafted one by one in Portugal and made to last for many years. The small variations and (im)perfections are unique features that are part of each piece’s identity.

To ensure its durability, we recommend avoiding placing the pieces on or near abrasive or sharp surfaces that could cause wear. Cleaning should be done with a damp cloth, without using chemical products, to preserve the materials and original texture.

Although the pieces are water-repellent and suitable for outdoor use, we do not recommend prolonged exposure to sunlight or rain — as these factors may compromise the longevity of each piece.

With these simple care tips, each Softrock will remain beautiful and comfortable for a long time.
